SAP Basis Technical Architect - End-user, manufacturing organisation
As part of the SAP Strategy and Architecture team you will be responsible for the SAP landscape providing SAP Basis technical design and project management for an established manufacturing organisation in a innovative technical environment.
This SAP Technical Architect role requires a deep and broad background in SAP Basis/Netweaver and IT Infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Accountable for the creation of roadmaps, proposing and running prove of concepts, proposing investments to drive the strategy implementationWork collaboratively with all relevant vendors to ensure that proposed architecture & design standards are in line with best practicesActively support projects as a Project Lead ArchitectActively engage with the support organisation to ensure continues improvement on any architecture and design workFollow the Architecture Common Process (TOGAF) and support the enhancement and further development of thisInitiate technical architecture reviews and provide recommendations to stakeholders via standards, guidelines and technical roadmapsAssess & identify risks associated with differing technical options at both local & strategic levels and provide mitigation strategiesTake a lead role in the defining and communicating Infrastructure related architecture/design topicsTake a lead role in ensuring reusability of Architectural Building Blocks and Solution Building BlocksDevise & develop presentations, toolkits, technical briefs and status reports for the stakeholder communityActively engage with Enterprise Architecture and Segment Architects to ensure maximized alignmentTake a lead role when it comes to presenting insights and findings to senior leaders.
Essential skills
A minimum of 8 years SAP Basis experience ideallyLead a minimum of 3 full life cycle implementationsProven experience as a SAP Basis Technical ArchitectProven experience in the implementation and design of SAP Landscapes using Unix (Solaris), Linux, and Windows Operating Systems and Oracle Data Base AdministrationStrong knowledge and hands on Experience in Storage Area Networks (SAN).Deep architectural understanding of Oracle Database/sReal world experience' in SAP Basis/infrastructure implementationsEssential communication skills, both written & verbalProject experience and thorough understanding working within a TOGAF environmentSAP Basis Certification and associated accreditationsExperience working within an ITIL frameworkStakeholder Management experience, comfortable presenting effectively up to CIO levelPrevious experience in large scale landscapes
